Tacos Frontera - Katy: Savor Authentic Mexican Flavors in Katy, TX

If you have time and are craving tacos, this is a great place. I like the fact that they have nopales as an option. I recommend trying the nopales quesadilla. You won't regret it! Their mulitas are also good. For meats, I recommend adobada. Besides the food, this place is organized, and their staff is super attentive. Oh, and their aguas frecas and chicharron never disappoint (:

Food was great but the corn tortilla was too thick for my liking but my husband love them and the meat has good flavor. We only had the tacos but I would come back to try the burritos and tortas. Food wait time was only 15min so it was pretty quick. Price was decent. 7 tacos, bottle drink and guacamole was around $37 before tax.

My goodness, this place is very popular. It was packed the day and time that we went. Food was amazing although I gave it 4 stars because my Tacos w Asada had fat in them. But overall flavor and their burrito and salsas were extremely good. They also give you a tray of complimentary chicharrones. I do recommend this restaurant for Mexican food.

First off this place is fun! Large crowds and music. Really sets the stage for what to come. Now we've all had good tacos, and great tacos right? But have you ever been completely blown away by a taco? Superior quality and made to order fresh! I was hooked on the first bite then finished the other three! The birriria was out of this world too. Top it all off we super friendly and helpful staff and a stunning clean environment. I've found my new spot! Don't hesitate to check them out. Is there a 6 star?!

This place reminded me of a 1996 carne asada at my grandmas border town where the Tíos were grilling and the tias were making fresh salsa and tortillas. Everything was fresh and on point. My quesadilla meat was seasoned just like it should. The outside flour tortilla was homemade obviously and crispy just like a Mexican would get a quesadilla in their country. It wasn’t greasy at all. Guacamole was top notch, not fake or mixed to make it stretch. The selection of salsas was amazing. The rest of my party got tacos de asada and pollo, along with a huge fresh burrito. They were all so blown away with the food. The line was long and moved fast. Service was top notch. There was a manager overseeing the entire operation on the front line and let me tell you, he’s doing his job and going above and beyond to make the entire operation successful. I enjoyed the norteño music, it was nostalgic along with the smell of a good asada.

Great spot for authentic Tijuana-style grilled tacos. The avocado is fresh, the salsas are on point spicy, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Classic Coca Cola-style tables give it a nostalgic touch. I was in the area for work and stopped by definitely a place I’ll remember for future visits.

Very cozy atmosphere with nice decorations all around. The food tasted amazing. The food was fresh and came out quickly even though the entire restaurant was packed. They have three sauces which were all tasty. The meat has a smoky taste and you can see it being cooked on the open flame grill. The tacos have a generous portion of guacamole. The tortillas are freshly made when you order. You get a complimentary side of chicharrons which are pretty good.

Delicious and worth the wait! There is usually a line and a wait, so if you’re in a rush, definitely not the right time to go. But if you have some time and want to have amazing food, I highly recommend Tacos Frontera. Everything is flavorful; great quality and quantity!
